Hello, I am by no means an electronics expert. I would not even begin to pretend I was one. I have a Sony STR D611 AV receiver which I have had in storage for several years in its original packaging. When I last boxed it up, it was functioning fine but when I took it back out and fired it up, it immediately went into PROTECT mode. It has nothing to do with the speaker wire connections because it does it with speaker wires connected and unconnected. I took some advice and removed the cover and cleaned it thoroughly with compressed air to no avail. Any advice on a solution would be appreciated. Would hate to scrap this piece without knowing it could be something very simple. Thanks in advance.
