Hello,
I have very little experience with circuit design and would like some advice. I want to use a PIR (SR501) to control a circuit with 2 seperate groups of LEDs. one of the led groups needs to fade on and then when the PIR is opened fade off, however the other led group needs to fade on but then it needs to shut off when the PIR is opened and its this that is my problem. I can figure out and understand how to utilize a capacitor in order to fade LEDS on or off but how can I redirect that capacitors discharge so the LED goes out instantly while the cap discharges through some other component? Any help or advice would be appreciated. I am trying to stay away from IC's and certaintly don't want to use microcontrollers or anything like that.
Thanks
