Help needed to identify a component.

Hi there,
My HP laptop is not starting. I found a burned component at PU301, identified an AWVABO, but this reference is unknow on the Net. Any help?
Thanks!

What model is it? I might have a schematic.
Without the schematic and component references, it’s pretty much impossible to say. In-house codes mean nothing when searching for replacements.

Hi Martin,
It is a HP Pavilion Model 15-cx0113TX. Prod ID 4NR55PA#AB4. The board ref is DPK54 LA-F841P rev 1.0. https://support.hp.com/sg-en/document/c06061086. Very similar to certain Omen laptops. Board photo attached, failed component in the red circle, bottom left.hp_board.jpg

Unfortunately, I don’t have any Pavillion schematics. All the HP documents are Compaq related like Presarios.
I will add that so many PDFs are incorrectly named and the board view is the only way to sort and correctly name them.
Don’t give up though, you could always buy a damaged Pavillion motherboard (donor board) and hope it has different issues. I’m afraid that that’s how most of us get spare parts (components) to do repairs. A donor board can be priceless sometimes.

there is likely to be much more than that single IC that is blown

As Bluejets said .... a new motherboard

AWV looks like part # & AB0 looks like a production code.
Perhaps this will work: https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_9GKlJl

May be the only thing wrong, may not be but you got to start somewhere. I would remove it and check for shorts, if no shorts then try a replacement.

I didn't dig around much but you may be able to uncover more about it simply googling AWV QFN20.

I found the same reference through another search and it seems to be the thing. 3$ with shipping worth the risk. Thanks
