Help installing remote volume control in Melbourne..

P

"Andrew."
I want to implement the infra red remote volume control project as
detailed here:

and here:

into a dj mixer, though i don't really have the experience, and i
don't think it even comes as a diy kit.

** DJ mixers are typically packed, crammed and stuffed tight with
components - a motorised pot and PCB will never fit.

Plus the master volume is invariably a fader.

You do not seem to have thought this through.

No, the volume is a rotary knob, so it is possible.

Does any have the contact details for someone in Melbourne who may be able to help?

I think what Phil was getting at was that (unless the mixer used a
slider pot) the motorised unit in the SC project would be physically
more bulky than the existing pot. And where would you mount the pcb
measuring 57 x 74 x approx 22 high? Logically, it would be best if it
were mounted inside the mixer case with the leds and IR receiver
facing out through the front panel. Is there room inside the case for
the pcb and the motorised pot?
