Help finding capacitor for Sony AV-3600

Hi everyone, I want to change the motor capacitor in a Sony AV-3600. I'm not sure which replacement part I need and where to find a good quality replacement, so help would be appreciated.

Writen on the capacitor is « MP Condenser, 2.5 + 1.2 MF, 250?V.AC, TOWA, 2Y001 ». I believe this is a run/start film capacitor ? There's 2 wires going to the 2.5 connector, and one going to the « C » connector, nothing on the 1.2, so I don't thing I need this section.

In the schematics, I've found the capacitor to be C001 and on the internet i've found C001 1-113-069-11 2.5 juF + 1.2 jJF-S + 10% 250V.

Attached is a picture of the capacitor. Thanks !

I'm kind of confused. But this sounds like it might be two capacitors in one can.
Very popular with the old CRT televisions, but I haven't seen one in a new device
in years.
Do you have a schematic with a part number on it?
Maybe 'MP' is the manufacturer, any Google hits on that to check product line?
IS, this an old Sony device?

This is a 40 year old machine ;-) I believe it is like two capacitors in one, but there's only one terminal use, the 2.5 mfd.

In this video, the guy explain that the capacitor have been replaced, but not a lot of info.
Look around 6:28

Hi Davenn, problem is, they sold by 100qty I think. Any idea where I can order 1, even if it's another brand. Didn't find anything on DigiKey...

How about something like this. $2.84 in quantities of 1.

Or this may be more appropriate.

The tolerance of these capacitors is large. 40 years ago the 2.5uF capacitor probably had a tolerance large enough that 3uF was well within the range of potential values (that's only 20%)
