was wondering if anyone could help me out, i dont know much about much, but i would like to get this bell working again.
this is an GTE Outdoor Telephone Bell Ringer Automatic Electric D-56559-ASL. all the parts are there, it just doesnt work. im guessing its what looks like a battery? that is the bad part. does this look like something i could find a replacement for at radio shack or something? forgive my ignorance.

The 'battery' is in fact a 0.4µF capacitor.
I think that the bell should be run on AC but I do not know what frequency or voltage would be used in Ulan Bator.!

Wikipedia 'Ringer box' says voltage 60 to 100V and frequency 20 to 30Hz.
