Hi all and thank you for this great forum. Been lurking for a few weeks and have already learnt a lot. Been dabbling on and off in electronics for years but now that I've retired I have decided to get into electronics repair seriously as I have a crate full of broken electronics thanks to lightning and sucky electric supply in South Africa - full of spikes, surges, brownouts and plain old no power. I'm sure I am going to have lots of questions and I hope that I get to the point where I can contribute some answers. But I will never get to the level of some of the guys on here, like steve, 73's and others, I stare in astonishment at the expertise shown in their replies. Thanks guys, you are awesome.
