Correct standard HDMI has 19 pins, all of which are active, and depending on the brand of cable all the same color or half different colors.
If the cable wasnt a super long one (shorter than 25 feet or so) youre better off buying a new one, a decent 15 footer only costs about 15 bucks, definitely worth the hassle of pinning out the connectors
I had to fix an HDMI cables once that had only 4 broken wires, it still took me almost an hour to fix it, especially due to the fact it was a compact cable and the wires were 30 awg
