Generac GP5500 3volts coming out of outlets

I bought a generac gp 5500 that was brand new, never started but sitting outside for 4 years. I got the motor running but it will not put out voltage (well 3 volts) i replaced brush and AVR (i didnt think those would be it was cause never started). so Im wondering what I can do next. I have another GP5500 that i bought new (from store) so the parts I buy are just spares for it if need be. Help plz

I have tried all the basic stuff. I tried flashing, put in new brushes, and tried the 12volt method on the old ones... this generator, the guy literally never started it.. it has 0 hours on the lcd meter.. he just bought it and left it sit outside, didnt even put the wheel kit of handle on it. All that was still new in box, i had to clean it up. Runs great now, just dont put out voltage. Weird. Dunno what else it could be, there were literally pincher bugs living in the alternator
