I have somewhere around 150 unprotected 18650's from salvaged laptop batteries. I was curious if I should buy a bunch of tabbing and those mini protection circuits to put onto the cell or if I could get away with putting a low current fuse on a pack of them in series parallel (4 cells in series per pack, 2 packs in parallel and a 10A fuse).
Is there a real danger to doing this in terms of exploded battery or damaged equipment?
