full size animatronic Dinosaur sound board help

I have a full size animatronic baby T.Rex, and it has a sound module. But there is a bit of a puzzle

I'd like to change the sounds on it, but I'd really like some help figuring out what I'm dealing with, as all the info is in chinese!

The sound board is a newway FS-K51 (tech diagram in the link) and the sounds are stored in onboard RAM. Apparently, you can change the sounds, using some software (also in Chinese) writing to memory hex addresses.

It has 7 different sounds, changeable by a rotary switch.

My questions are:
Ideally, I'd like to get something similar from the West, with CF card storage, but I've no clue what to search for?

What's the name of the mechanism/(how does it trigger) for changing the sounds? is it something to do with pulses or something?
