fried laptop motherboard?

Recenly I've replaced the dc jack and burned traces off my laptop by following the advice I've been given. The link to the thread i made on how to replace the jack is below. I tried to power on the laptop after but nothing happened. Could my motherboard be fried now from the burned traces making a short or a dead battery? I've got a multimeter to help diagnose the problem.

Most likely a multi-layer board, the thru plating is gone. So the inner layers of the PCB are open. Get another mother board.

send pictures of the damaged board

For laptops the motherboard is pretty much the machine and is proprietary

I wouldn't change it unless the machine is fairly new or very high end.
