I have had two of these freeview boxes (as I got another one due to this problem) and both have suffered from a problem where the sound doesn't come on properly (muffled) or not at all for a period of time and then it clears and the sound comes on ok.
I have attached a photo of the PCB in it. I have found the sound IC is a F4558.
Has anyone any ideas what would cause this please?
