FR & RF Thermal fuse.

Hi all,
I have been searching for the difference between FR and RF with respect to thermal fuses.
There isn't much I could find out but hoping somebody here will know.

It's for a rice cooker (184c 16A 240V).
The only reasonable priced item is a 185c 15A 240V. I can't see that 1 degree C will make any difference so ordered it.
Here is the item.
I ordered the 15A FR185. The original was 184c 16A.

I don't know either but I suspect it has to do with construction materials used.

For your rice cooker I'm sure its fine.

I do also not know the difference.
I know there are thermal fuses with ceramic or metal bodies.
There might be a difference in the breaking speed.

I'd guess FR means flame retardant and RF means retards flames, that it's in a high temp epoxy sealed can instead of plastic casing.

Saw a listing that had both....(down bottom of the listing) .....no idea the difference though, if any.

My second guess was that FR is a one-shot fuse, while RF means resettable fuse.

I'm still none the wiser except that RS components confirmed there are others too. SF for example and told me "don't worry about it".
Well, I'm not worried as the temperature is the important part. The Amperes is just the max like most components.

RF is Rice Fuse..
FR is F***ed Rice..

lol, I was thinking FR was more like fuse resistor.
