foreign selectric type ball/element?

I wish there were a newsgroup specific to typewriters, but this seems to be where most of
the relevant info is. Where can I find a selectric type element with foreign
(spanish/french) accents, punctuation?

Have you tried IBM?
I do know that type balls are made in foreign languages.
If all else fails try contacting the local Spanish newspaper in you're
local.
(When I worked in the printing business we used a IBM selectric with
built in kerning, it came with a whole job case full of type balls,
some with foreign language typefaces.)
