flatscreen computer monitor TV?

I have a DELL flatscreen monitor (new) and was wondering if since all of the Televised stations now days comes from a digital tuner (with a digital antenna), cable box, satellite, etc.. could this be used to get Television.. I'm looking at putting one on a swing down mount in my kitchen.. under a cabinet .. I looked and there is no HDMI, VIDEO OUT and so forth, just the digital and monitor cable plugs? anyone done this yet?

In general, if there are matching plugs it's going to work. The only issue you might run into is that the monitor probably doesn't have speakers.

no problem with speakers, the Blu-Ray player has speakers with it.. but......... the monitor has the digital computer plug and the old video plug.. no RCA or HDMI, or fiber..

OK, if there's no matching connectors you'll have to look for a converter.
