Finding suitable portable LED light replacement IC charge regulator

Hi

I'm trying to repair a portable LED rechargeable lamp, from my tests with a multi meter I believe the voltage regulator/charging IC has stopped working, and I could do with some help selecting a suitable replacement as although I can solder pretty well my electronics knowledge is minimal.

The marking on the IC (see attached photo) are as follows:
SC308S
CCCW9-1

Googling has led me to this datasheet, although it's in Chinese:

Any pointers to a suitable product to replace it would be really appreciated, I'm hoping to save the lamp from the dump.

My first choice would be to try to find one of these chips.

What is your train for suspecting this chip?
