finding 4 pin connectors for own wires

Hi Everyone,

I am searching for 4 pin connectors both male and female to which I can add my own wires.

There are jst connectors available but they already come with attached wires.

Is there any such connector available.

Power supply rating 12v 5 amp.

do they need to be waterproof as well ?

I'm sure some quick googling will find lots of choices or even a quick search on ebay

ebay will probably be the cheapest, delivered, price if you can wait a month to receive them. Search for terms like 4 pin wire connector. Throw in the word sealed or waterproof if you need that.

If you instead want the highest quality or to receive them sooner, pick a major brand, look on the website of the largest nearby electronics house.

If you have access to scrapped computers, you should be able to grab some 4pin power connectors from mainboard and the PSU should have the plug that fits.

I need such connectors but without wires. Unfortunately, they are coming with wire attached

Just gooooogle for "Molex" connectors, just like the ones that were used for powering hard drives.....

Have a look at the power-pole connectors from anderson:
