Fault TEAC EU-80ST - Intermittent aspect ratio change - Help?

Anyone have any ideas on a display fault where the image appears to change
aspect ratios from normal to widescreen? It occurs irregularly but
frequently, sometimes 3 times in a minute. I have checked (I think) the
install settings and the display settings. It still occurs when set on any
off 16:9, 4:3, or Auto selection. It occurs on FTA and Cable.

Further to the above it does not occur on DVD playback on AV-1 but only on
tuned channels. It has also now progressed to not showing the full image at
all on FTA channels. All station logos are half off screen and left side of
image shows extreme curvature.
