Dear Group,
This is my first post to this group - i hope someone might have encounted
this problem before and can guide me to a solution.
I have encounted problems using delay zones on the Visonic Maestro 1600 DL
(FW ver 4.00). The problem is:
1) A zone is (via installer menu location 04) set as a delay zone type 1
("2")
2) the system is armed, the exit delay sounds and everything seems fine. BUT
opening of the loop triggers an instant alarm
To diagnose and narrow down the cause i have:
1) Stripped the system of *everyhting* and reproduced the problem on
different zones
2) Checked the sensor (reed switch) manually -It works perfectly, the EOL
resistor is there. The system is able to detect crossing of the wires (HW
problem) and senses open and close positions just fine. If the zone is
configures to "instant" it works flawlessly.
3) The system is able to discriminate between delay type I and II - with
respect to the "ready" status which allows arming, everything is fine.
I have tried on another alarm board, but with the same result. I am
absolutely puzzled and suspect some kind of programming error on my part.
I feel pretty stuck right now, and would appreciate any help you might be
able to provide.
thank you in advance.
best regards
