Elgato Eve Door & Window extend bluetooth range

I want to connect a 2.4 GHz antenna to this device in order to extend its range. I've seen examples of how this can be done to other types of bluetooth dongles. Looking at the circuit board, i'm not sure where the antenna is, that's where I would connect my external antenna. I'm guessing it's the component market ANT1.

Any tips?

The lottle chip in the lower left corner is a chip scale bluetooth antenna. You would have to replace this chip by an SMA connector to attach an external antenna. Or solder the antennas coaxial cable directly to the corresponding pads on the PCB.
Note that this may or may not enhance the range of the device. There is a matching network on te PCB (C14, C15, L2) which is matched to the characteristics of the chip scale antenna. This network may not be working optimally with an external antenna.
