I have a old 5 1/4” DVD Rom SATA drive want to
Convert to USB looked on all the sites like eBay , Amazon how many others all have adapter for small 2.5 inch hard drives in laptop DVD which won’t work how the wrong size the dvd has 22 pin data and power see photo any help Where I can find on make an adapter would appreciate any help

You haven't looked at the example I linked, have you? This adapter has a pinout that imho matches your photo.

These adapters work perfectly fine. I use them for external HDDs, DVD players and even a floppy disk drive!.
I have several of these adapters for SATA to PATA etc.
Have a read of this.

Thanks for the information the problem I have is that most of the adapters Sata to usb are mini plugs they do not fit a full size 5 1/4” DVD they Only fit 2.5 inch drives and DVDs for laptops do you know where I can get an adapter that would work on a full-size DVD any help would be appreciated thank you Charlie

yes I’m looking for an adapter that pin out to USB the only ones I found are the mini plugs that fit 2.5 hard drives and laptop DVDs only do you know I can get one thanks
