I bought a used house with the system already installed with 3
keypads. We just have so far used it to identify if any doors or
windows were not closed and ignored the fact the trouble light was
always on. A few weeks ago it started beeping once every few seconds
to indicate trouble. I did not know about pressing *2 to find what the
trouble was and only touched a key to make it stop. Next day, it
started a continuous high pitched noise (not really a beep) that i
could not get to stop. Anyway, now the system seems to have shutdown
and no power appears to be on the unit (no lights are on any of the
keypads).
I checked to make sure the system was plugged in and it is. The
battery is also hooked up properly. I do not understand why the system
has shutdown or what to do to restart it. Does the control box have a
replaceable fuse? Does the PC1550 shut itself down under certain
conditions?
ANy help (or clues) would be appreciated. Just wondering if it is
something simple.
thanks!
