Diode Symbol

Hi all
Has anyone ever come across a diode symbol like this. I can only assume it is meant to be representing a LED unless anyone can tell me different. Pin 1 is from a +10VCC and Pin 2 connects to a half duplex communication line. Many thanks in advance.

Yes it is an LED. Such connectors usually have LEDs built-in to show connectivity.

Usually a LED, Can be a descrete device or one inside a opto-isolator.

It's and LED. Considering the fact that this is a communications line, be aware it may be a UV one depending on the application.
