Digital Thermometer.

I thought I would post this on here as I was not sure how many of you guys seen this brand before and thought I would share this.

I find it kind of funny that the Bonkote in the top link is really expensive and plus it's used and the guy is asking 99.99 and yet the unbranded version of the same unit can be found on ebay for 20 bucks.

If you look at both links the second one is clearly 100% the same as the Bonkote one other then the color and the fact it is a dual channel.

I thought I'd get one for my Hakko FX-888D seeing that my voltmeter that had a really good built in thermometer just died,I have another cheap Voltmeter with a built in thermometer and I'm going to check them against each other to see how close they are.

Has anyone here used either of these to measure their Soldering Irons tip temp,I had problems with a Station I had a few years back and needed to re-calibrate it as it was out by 95 degrees on the low side.

I've bought a number of different models from eBay , and the black ,$5 works as good as any ...

Thermocouple thermometers are extremely accurate, even the cheapest ones ... if in doubt by a few cheap ones , you'll find they agree to within 1 degree. Don't assume the expensive one is more accurate, you can't always trust the listing

oz93666 I can not agree wih more I know paying more for something does not always mean it's better.

I find it funny when people pay big bucks for Multimeters such as my friend who purchased a Fluke brand one for $499.99 and the saddest part is my cheap Multimeter reads almost the same as my friends,his read 1.311 volt's and mine read 1.310 volt's if you ask me that pretty good,what's really sad is Bonkote just buys that cheap model and jacks up the price.

This is my spare voltmeter that I want to test against the thermometer I have ordered just to make sure they are close,I meant to do it with my last thermometer but I did not get around to it.
