Dewalt Drill Transistor Help

Trying to repair a Dewalt model 929 drill. Have what appears to be a power transistor that has failed. Has a logo that looks like an F (Fairchild Semiconductor maybe?). Two numbers on the device. First is legible: N523AK. Second is somewhat destroyed, can only get MO273....
Can anyone help me identify this component? I can't find anything online about an N523AK.
