I am going to make mobile power bank with 3.7V li ion battery.
this is what I selected IC
this is given diagram from ti.com
but I have questions
1. here adapter means input (power input for charge the battery) ?
2. what is host?
3.is phone tablet means output for charge the phone?
4.if yes why they have used usb port and which has only connected to D+ and D- ?
5. no charging indicators?
if you know any other good IC for do this please tell me.

that is very good for my design but output is 1.2A only
