Has anyone experienced the following problem? I have a Dell Model
M781p 17" monitor that died coincidentally at the same time that I did
a normal "shutdown" for an impending thunderstorm. Now the monitor
when powered on, has a constantly clicking relay, no video (black
screen), appears to have high voltage (unit crackles when power
applied) although I have not measured it yet. Does not matter whether
it is connected to the PC or not. Not sure what the function of the
relay that is clicking is. Have tried to locate schematic, but
haven't had any luck. Did a measurement check of the power supply
fuses, diodes and transistors, all appears to be ok. Did not find any
bad solder joints or bad circuit board connections. Any ideas on what
could be the problem or what to check next? Any help is appreciated.
