DC LED circuit question..?

Will the current rating of the power source affects the system?

This is how I computed the resistor rating i used:
(Voltage Source - Operating voltage of the LED)/Operating Current of the LED = Resistance in Ohms

This is the actual computation:
Given:
Source: 12 volts wet cell
number of LEDs: 6
color of LED: Yellow
size: 5mm
ampere rating of one LED: 20 mA
voltage rating of one LED: 2 Volts

(12.2 Volts - 6 x 2 Volts)/20mA = 10ohms

my question is what will be the effect of the different input current since it's not part of the computation for the resistor..

I will use a 12.2 Volts with 6A input rating (WET CELL)... the 6 Amperes is so strong for the circuit, so, is it safe? or it has no effect whether i use 12.2 volts with 3 Amperes or 12.2 volts with 6 Amperes...

When you plug a lamp with a 100W bulb (~1 Amp on U.S. 110V) into an outlet that can provide 15A does it blow up the light bulb?

The current rating of a power supply is only the maximum that it can supply. The actual current drawn is determined by what you connect to it. So yes, it is safe to use a 6A power supply to provide 20ma of current.
