DAEWOO TV/VCR Combination (model DVN 20F6N)

I was watching a video. The phone rang. Instead of stopping the tape,
I manually turned off the power. When I came back to the unit I could
not turn the power back on, either manually or with the remote. I can
not eject the tape. I tried removing the socket from the wall and then
reinserting the socket. I still was not able to get the power back.
The standby light is flicking on and off. There is an intermittent
whirring sound coming from the tape area. Any solution?

The tape may be jammed, and nothing can move. The unit then goes in to
protect. The unit has to be opened, and the tape properly removed. Then the
unit should be checked in case there my be damage. There is an excellent
chance that if the tape is properly removed, there may be no damage done.

If you are not experienced in this type of thing, it would be best for you
to bring the unit to a service centre and pay the few dollars to have it
done right.
