Current limiting strategies for L298N? or use comparators.

A solution is to mesure de curent into the motor. A little electronics is needed (opamp in integrator an comparator by example). In tath case we can detect a mechanical hard or a motor defection.
You can "pick" these curent values on the top of the sense resistors.
I plan to use a pair of LM358 in my dual stepper driver by motor. The controller is an STM32F303 in LQFP 48.
One powered by the 5V motor control circuit mounted in buffer (folower) with 3v zeners at outputs and the other one mounted in non inverting amplifier powered by VDDA of the microcontroller circuit (3.3V) with a gain of 2.
The integrator is realised in the firmware.
