Cuisinart custom prep 11 food processor

Hi all great board! I have a brand new food processor that was left in a cold car during the winter...well i brought it in to warm up... but to make a long story short it got used right away & all was fine... then it just quit?? I'm guessing condensation wrecked something in it. But there is nothing obviously fried on the board or motor. No weird electrical burning smell either...Just flat out no power....any ideas where to start? thanks

I would be looking for a fuse first. If it failed without any odd smells or sparks/flames then it may be something like that.

Try the easy things first.

if you have a multimeter, trace from the active lead on the plug through the circuit using the ohms range (with the unit unplugged, but switched ON).

If there's no electronics in there, you should be able to trace a path through switches and stuff to the motor, and then from the other side of the motor to the neutral lead.

Somewhere it will stop. Do the same for the neutral and find the last points that have connectivity for both of them. That should point to what is open.

Thanks for the reply But there is a electronics board inside & also two (one bigger than the other) Round things that remind me of a batteries ( size C & D ) with 2 leads on each. anyway to test those?

As Steve said earlier, Photos would be nice

we have no idea what they are so difficult to recommend how to test them

ok the one on the left says "Motor start CE 150VAC 120uF b42750-A1127-a" it is larger diameter. the one on the right says "Motor stop CE 50 VAC 400uF b42750a6-407-A" keep in mind there is no power at all none of the led's come on (there is 2). thanks for your time. sorry about the crappy pics.

Here's a few more of some fuse looking things?? as you can see the back side of these is filled with a grout like material...When i saw these I thought it might be easy.... anyway they read "10w 1R5J" & "10W R2J" so if I test these with a multimeter what setting should i have it on? ohms?

I would be less worried about the motor at the moment. Those resistors show no signs of getting hot, so ignore them for a moment. (one should read 1.5 ohms, the other 0.2 ohms (although in circuit they may read less).

Try to get a better picture of the circuit board. plenty of ambient light and rest your camera/phone on something if you have to to minimise shaking.

I think the first thing t do is to determine if there is power to the board. And there may be a fuse on it too.
