CRT static charge on screen

hi
i have hp 7550 17 inch flat screen crt monitor. it has too much static charge on its screen . whenever i bring my finger near the screen it gives the static cracking sounds..

when i bring my ands bak side near the screen my hands hair feel something..
wwhy is it?
i have tried degaussing the screen but it doesn't removes that..

any ideas?
thanks in advance

That is perfectly normal, there is nothing wrong with it by what you are describing.

Degausing only realigns/re-energizes everything inside to work properly

does it not turn on or something?

yes its turning on and display is awesome much better then my lcd.. its very briht very vivid very sharp..

only thing that makes me worroies is that static on its screen.. earlier it never had this issue..

is it somehow relevant to temperature ? now its very hot weather here 43-45 degree Celsius .. in winter its 17-20 degrees Celsius..

also i have another issue. its ver hot here and i bought a smnall 6 inch desk fan.. that run off of AC 220 volts .. and when i turn that fan on and place it in 1 meter viicinity of monitor there are waves on screen.. no color distortion or artifacts.,, just there are waves appearing on screen .. hope u understand what i mean by weaves.. whats it how can i avoid it.. as i have to st near the monitor and gave the fan blow cool air at me.. puting the fan at distance of more then onemeter is useless..
thanks

The static is fine, you probably just never noticed it before, again not something to worry about.
The reason you notice it more could be something as simple as the humidity in the air, the shoes you are wearing, the chair youre on, many things can affect how obvious the static is.

The waves on the screen are from the fan, motors work by generating EM (electromagnetic) fields, which directly affect CRTs, its not going to hurt the screen in the short term, but over a long period of time it can cause damage

thats nice ..
though apart from weather all conditions of checking the static are same .. but i will take your words for it .. its no issue..

about emi from dc motor can i somehow minimize it ? or remove it.. as i m sweatinfg like hell... without it..
here are some snaps of the fan .. its a bit strange fan from inside..

The only thing that I could think of is increase the distance between them, or put one or the other in a faraday cage, but that would be hard to do since you have to see one, and the other is moving air
