Creating own usb to rs422 cable adapter

Hey guys, I was just wondering if it is possible to create your own usb to rs422 cable adapter/converter. I am trying to figure out which 4 pins of the rs422 I would need to combine with the usb pins, granted it is possible to just solder wires together. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

The USB and RS-422 protocols and data formats are completely different. The 4 RS-422 connections are transmit+, transmit-, receive+, and receive-. The 4 USB pins are +5V power, data out, data in, and Ground.

You are describing a simple connector adapter, but an RS-422 USB device has a microcontroller inside of it programmed to perform the data conversion.
