Correct Diode for Toshiba TV no power

Hi,

Can anyone shed light on what rating of Schottky diode i require ? The Shottky diode in the power board has MUR4 written on the body. Other diodes from other TV power boards i have saw online provide the Amp rating and Voltage on the body of the diode however this one does not.

Usual advice is appreciated.

Don't - yet.

Those MUR4 diodes come in different voltage ratings and you must chose the correct one else risk damage elsewhere.

Do you have the specification, make/model for the set? Or a schematic?

Tried finding technical information online with no luck, I can only find owner manuals which is useless.

Which model TV is it? Are there any identification codes on the power board?

Many TV sets have power supply issues - so many in fact that there is a market in supplying kits of parts covering the major manufacturers and containing all the 'usual suspects' that go 'poof'.

Google the set make/model and 'repair kit' and see if anything turns up.

Whats the power board model number (i.e NOT the brand and model of the TV).

Though make and model may also help!

Just got a second hand TV, wasn't getting anywhere trying to find the correct one , looked everywhere online including Toshiba with no luck, meanwhile im sitting with no TV for 4 days.
