Hi All, I purchased a 3 phase motor conveyor that runs way too fast when hooked up to 3 phase.
Is there a way to convert it to single phase and slow it down?
Is it just a case of only wiring one of the 3 positive wires up to a normal GPO?
If it is a 2 pole motor, a bit under 3000rpm, then you could fit a 4 pole 1ph motor, or get a VFD for the present motor and run it off of 3 phase with a 230v 1ph supply, this will allow you to set it what rpm you need.
