I want to connect my Shure SM58 mike to my shure vhf wireless beltpack using
a meter of cable - does anyone have experience of having doing this?
I could possibly work it out myself (I've made my own instrument-to-beltpack
cables in the past) but to do it correctly with a normal Shure SM58 mike
puzzles me a bit, as one of the pins on the beltpack supplies a 5V phantom
power to its normal plug-in mikes. The mini XLR sockets on older shure VHF
beltpacks all behave the same as far as I understand. I know it's a cheap
way to turn a normal wired mike into a wireless one but if it works, hey
what's the difference. I wouldn't want to damage my mike or the beltpack so
any pointers on the right way to do it would be appreciated.
