Connecting 120v smoke detector to a wireless transmitter

M

Murphy

I want to monitor existing 120v smokes by connecting to a wireless
transmitter ie) DSC WLS925 with universal alarm contacts if this is at
all possible.

Murphy,

I would advise you to invest in a new wireless smoke detector
alongside your 120 volt smoke. Easier and won't violate fire codes.

Excellent advice. One question though... What "fire codes" would he
violate??

There used to be some wireless manufacturers
that made transmitters that detected alarm
sounds...

Sonitrash used to use that. It was pretty unreliable though. I don't think
they still do it on new jobs.
