Well what can you say... I used to consider the power supplies with transformer, more reliable. Theese are just badly disigned power supplies...

I can certainly testify that back in the day, my C64 power supply murdered a number of my C64 boards. Kept wondering why the replacement boards kept frying until realising that it was the actual PSU that was at fault...

I wonder how much they made selling replacement boards because of these power supplies.

So the "dumb" so and so who fudged up the PSUs ended up with......a big pay rise...a promotion....a pat on the back and is now 30 years retired to his own island just off the sunny end of Jamaica!
