Combining NAD 3020 and Creative I-Trigue 3330

Hi,

I don't really have that much experience in electronics. I have a Creative I-Trigue shown in the image below, but the main power amp part of it is not working. The two small speakers are grand. I also have an old NAD 3020 Hi-Fi, shown in the image below also, I have two speakers which also connect to that Hi-Fi.

I want to combine these two music players into one, and also connect them to my computer so that I can play songs from it. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that the best idea would be to use the amplifier from the NAD 3020 and connect it to my computer, assuming that I can get an audio to red and white lead output for my computer (macbook pro). I think that's possible anyway, but then I need to connect four speakers to the amp which only has two audio outputs, and which also uses and ancient method of wiring, with red and black lead outputs seen in the image below.

I'm finding this very hard to explain, but if anyone can suggest what components I need to get to make this work I would be very great-full.

You need a cable that connects to your mac which has RCA plugs on the other end. This shouldn't be too hard to find.

Depending on the level, this would connect to the AUX input of your amplifier.

If those little speakers have cables, you might be able to connect them to the outputs of the amplifier (perhaps you'll need to cut the cables). It doesn't (at least for testing) matter really which speaker wire goes into red or black, but if there is a pattern follow it (e.g. if they have a black and white wire, connect black to the black output, and white to red).

The speakers may have a higher impedance than the amplifier is rated for and may thus not be very loud. It's unlikely to be the opposite. Start at minimum volume (and probably from a known good source such as a CD player. Don't turn the volume up too high, and certainly no higher than the max level which they operated at from the other amplifier.
