Class D (switch mode) unipolar mosfet audio amps

That is using non complementary pairs of N-channel,only, mosfets.
Can anyone direct me to a useful primer for such designs , with "bias" to
repair considerations, eg powering up suspect/half repaired such amps with
reduced power rail levels - what effects to expect or even if its possible ?
both-on possibilities etc

Well, other than mosfets usually go short circuit when they fail, no
mate!

For a stereo pair of class D switching amps, +&-rails driven from 2 switch
mode power supplies, one - , one+, would they all be tied to the same
frequency, to avoid beats?
Anyone know if thats the case?

I can find plenty on design of such amps but not the practical implications
, let alone repair of such amps. If one was at 50KHz and the other 51KHz or
so, or one 50KHz and the other 251KHz or so , at high power levels, could
there be some annoying beat effect ? either from the internal
wiring/transformers or in the output audio

Usually MOSFETS go, test and replace them as necasary.

After that I would send the amp to an expert engineer before you blow
yourself up !
