Circuit board from E-11 Hasbro toy blaster.

Hello everyone,

I have an E-11 Blaster made by Hasbro, and it has a very simple circuit board inside. It produces 2 sounds that alternate: One is an actual blaster...the second is what sounds like a ricochet sound. I would just like the blaster sound.

Here are the pictures: http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/3803/dscf0794z.jpg

Also, this may be important....when I hold the trigger in the right position once a particular sound plays, the same sound keeps repeating until i release.

Thanks!!!

Does the toy alternate between sounds or is one played on trigger press and the other on release?

Simple, it's not. The black blob on the foil side of the board hides a microcontroller that senses the button pushes, generates the different sounds and drives the transistor that drives the speaker.

Is the rubber assembly on the foil side the trigger switch? Is there more than two positions for the trigger? I see the speaker wires, so what are the labels on the board for all the other wires? Which wires go to the batteries? Where do other wires go?

Is the currently playing sound interrupted if the trigger is pulled before it finishes? If so you could use a few ICs to quickly "press" and release the trigger every other time so it has the effect of always being the same sound. There is some hassle there but it may be possible.
