Church Sony300 cd Player Won't Come On

Our little Church uses the cd player to play our hymns (no piano player). The little red standby light is on but when you push the on button nothing happens. Is there a fuse? Please tell me how to fix it.

If trying a Buddist CD won't work, It's probably going to need repair.

Is 'Sony300' the full model number, or is it 'Sony CDP-CX300' (which is a 300-disc CD changer)?

By 'standby light' I assume you mean power light.
My 1st thought is a belt has broken. It looks like a rubber band. Trying to find a replacement is the hard part.

The model # is CDP-CX355 - The only thing that seems to be getting power is the red 'stand-by' light. Nothing else works

Sounds like a power-supply failure.
Do you have a User Handbook for the player? That should say where any fuse is located.
