how good of a desoldering station do you want? you could buy a cheap eBay special that wouldn't last very long or you could get a higher end that would last longer and be safer.

well i'm desoldering a psu..it's already been discharged and what not.anyways some of the parts the solder pads that are single i can sorta do but the bridged pads i can't do. maybe i'm doing it wrong.. i do get alil but of solder but not as much as i've seen on videos.i know ebay has one that plugs into the wall for like 80 somthing..the hakko is like 285 then there's the generic huge box type soldering gun

there are some pads of solder where it's just likek 3x3 inch of solder.
