Ceramic resistor information

Hi, I'm trying to get some information about this ceramic resistor.

Specifically I'm trying to learn about the amount of heat that the thing might produce, but any electrical information about it will help point me in the right direction to find that info.

The markings on the side say 10(1/2)D21WLC

Any clues?

That depends of the resistance and the current through it. Power dissipated = resistance x current-squared.

One that size is rated for at least 100 W steady state dissipation.

Ah so those numbers don't actually say anything its just like a serial number then? Should I just go by pictures of similar sized?
I'll search up heat info at 100w dissipation as well, thanks AK.

well the 10 at the start is probably indicating resistance ---- 10Ω

confirm that with a multimeter in Ohms range
