Casi-rusco Micro5px problem

Hello,
I have installed Casi-Rusco Secure Perfect Micro5x panel and it is directly
connected to my pc. By mistake I have changed the setting for connection
type from "Direct" to "Dialup" in the software and once I clicked the "Save"
button the command was sent to the panel, and after that when I tried to
change back to "Direct" connection type I was keep getting "Micro not
connected" message. It seems like the panel is set for Dialup mode and now
I'm trying to connect as "Direct" via serial port. I tried to run the
"Flash.exe" utility to reset the Micro (Panel) and dump the firmware, but it
is of no use. The utility also shows the status as "No micro connected".

Could someone please tell me how to reset the Micro. It doesn't seems like
there is a reset button in micro itself.

Thanks

Have you tried doing a power reset on the Micro? When the micro loses
power it also dumps its memory.

When you say you've tried "Flash.exe", is that the Flash Utility that
you run on a lap top and hook to the auxillary port? If not, try this
or try "MCUTIL". Both of these tools should be on the installation CD
or on Casi Rusco's website.

Remeber that if your Micro is running now, as far as card readers are
working and doors are working, when you do a power reset or run one of
these utilities, it will dump the memory and your Micro will be dead
until a database is downloaded to it.

Thanks for the reply. Actually I have resolved the problem. It seems like
that the secureperfect software allows you to change the connection type
even it the panel is not hooked up via modem. Once the information is
downloaded to the panel the host stops to communicat with the panel. So I
ran the flash.exe (it is part of MCUTIL) and saw in the message box that
panel is keep getting ADT commands information and since there is no modem
so it is hosed. What I did was while the ADT command was sent from flash
utility I switched that utility with the SP software and was able to open
the flash micro parameter configuration window and then changed it back to
"direct" connection type and it start working afterward.
