Car alarm options

G'day, thinking about an alarm output that gives a nice (I listened to that
bloody tone for years repairing radios!) 1000 hertz tone at a couple of
hundred watts inside the car. If I was to run a small oscillator module to
the input of a supercheap auto 200 watt $50.00 amp to a couple of good
tweeters would this give an irritating sound loud enough to keep idiots out
of the car? Or would I be better to use a couple of those peizo horns? Or
what?

Go the peizos - I could be wrong, but I've alway been under the impression
that they're very efficient and virtually indestructible.
