It is most likely a "polarized " device(yellow marking).
What is it connected to?

I strongly doubt it

cap or diode are the best bets
so why are you interested in that particular component ?
there are no obvious signs of failure

Could you show the part in perspective? Showing the connections would help a lot, for example, we can rule out a polarised capacitor if an alternating current input arises.

I check its resistance its shows 0.3 ohms

From what you have measured I think it's a 56 nH inductor. Similar to these.

I searched for inductors too but didn't see those little gems.

It was only when he showed the bigger picture and I saw it was a SIRF chip I thought ah, is it an inductor. Then the 0.3 Ohm measurement sort of gave it away, all though the component might have been faulty.
