Powers on and all appears to be working, however the remote control is missing so there may be functions that I am unable to test are working.
Unable to find a user manual online.
The problem is AV in does not work not even getting sound.
AV OUT has been tested working so the 3.5mm 4 pin jack plug cable is wired correctly (I would assume the same cable would do AV in and out).
The video source (a Bush PDVD-163C Twin 7" portable dvd player, also came with no remote) is working so can confirm the AV source works fine.
There is no AV switching button on the unit to toggle between AV IN and OUT so would assume it would auto detect between AV in and out (no av switching button on the unit and the setup menu I can access has no option either).
Main board 0320-D3123-00
The main components are:
EN29LV160AB-70TCP - 16 megabit flash memory
EM638165TS-6G - CMOS synchronous DRAM
MT1389QE - DVD player system on a chip (SOC)
MSV358G - dual op amplifier
Board and components look ok with no obvious signs of damage i.e burnt components, corrosion, dry joints etc... though I am no expert.
Only thing I do notice is a possible spillage on the board that has dried out and has discoloured a section on the reverse of the pcb along the input side but it is possible this is just heat / age related. An expert eye might be able to confirm either way with a photo to illustrate.
I have attempted to program various universal remotes to try and change the av source to 'A/V IN' but no luck, only get limited control via remote, i.e 5 will bring up DVD title detais, vol dwn will power on/off the device so not altogether successful.
So before DMM'ing any components could someone please advise.
