Bush Dab radio keep turning itself off

Why does my Bush DAB radio keep turning itself off after 30 mins. Either on batteries or power pack. I have tried a system reset but no luck. Sleep function is off an no timers are set.

Really sounds to me like you have a programmed 'off' timer set.
Any push-buttons stuck that might be causing this 30 minute 'on' time that then turns the radio off?
Is there an on-line manual for it, or do you have the original manual to look-up possibilities?

I can't see any set timers and have done a factory reset which did not change anything. Also when the power pack is connected the radio does not work at all. The power pack itself is ok. The on time varies between 5 mins and 45 mins depending on how long the radio has been on for previously and the length of the off time. My feeling is a dodgy component in the power supply circuit. I would take it apart but it is not obvious how to do this.

Agreed, it could well be something in the power supply/regulator which cuts off the radio when the voltage drops below a certain level. Are these rechargeable batteries?

Sounds reasonable.
I wonder however why the power pack won't operate if it's not damaged.
Any possibility the plug-in connector jack on the radio is bent/damaged and causing the problem?

Have a quick look inside the unit - I believe the main control board is a plug-in module and it can come loose if the radio is knocked.
